Genesis Invitational: On the second play-off hole, Max Homa beat Tony Finau to win the Genesis Invitational, organized by the Tiger Woods Foundation; Sam Burns takes seventh, while Dustin Johnson finishes eighth in the No. 1 world.

On the 72nd hole, Homa missed a three-foot birdie chance to win the tournament in regulation, with a bogey-free 66 leaving him locked at Riviera Country Club alongside Finau on 12 under.

Finau, who shot up the leaderboard with a round-of-the-day 64, at the first additional play-off hole, squandered a putt for the win and then bogeyed the second, ensuring that a par was sufficient for Homa to claim a first PGA Tour win since the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship.
