Morikawa wins his third European Tour event of the season to clinch the historic Race to Dubai title; Rory McIlroy finishes tied-sixth after a two-over 74 on the final day.

The world No. 2 overcame a three-shot deficit on the final day at Jumeriah Golf Estates, carding a six-under 66 to cap a bogey-free weekend with a three-stroke victory.

Morikawa made back-to-back birdies from the 14th and pulled further ahead of the pack by converting from 20 feet at the par-three 17th, before clinching a commanding victory with a two-putt gain at the par-five 18th.
